Why patients choose us

YOUR CLINICIAN
Dr Silas Gimba
MBBS, MSc, FRCOG, MBA (Merit), MSCP
Dr Gimba is a UK-based consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with over 35 years’ experience in women’s health and menopause care. He is the founder of Menopause Specialist Clinics (menocarehealth.com), a CQC-regulated and ICO-registered online-only clinic offering personalised care for women navigating menopause, perimenopause, menstrual disorders, and midlife health challenges.
What sets Menocarehealth apart is direct access to a specialist from your first consultation — no lengthy waiting lists, no being passed between clinicians. Every appointment is with Dr Gimba personally, ensuring continuity of care and a treatment plan built around your individual needs. Dr Gimba is a GMC-registered Consultant Gynaecologist with expertise in menopause care and holds Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) status. The British Menopause Society has announced that its menopause specialist programme is under review and specialist registration is currently suspended. His practice integrates evidence-based therapies with tailored education and lifestyle guidance.
A medical educator, Dr Gimba also serves as Director of Postgraduate Medical Education, responsible for over 250 aspiring GPs and consultants across all hospital specialties. This depth of teaching experience shapes every Menocarehealth consultation — patients receive care from a specialist who knows how to listen, explain, and ensure you leave every appointment understanding your options.
Whether managing complex symptoms, referrals from other specialists, answering the questions you’ve never had time to ask, or helping you feel like yourself again — Menocarehealth was built for this.
What we offer

Menopause consultations
Online clinical assessment for menopause symptoms, medical history, risks and care options, with ongoing follow-up where appropriate. Appointments are secure, online only, and available to patients in England.

Menopause sexual wellbeing consultations
Clinical assessment for menopause-related changes in sexual wellbeing, including low sexual desire. Your clinician will review symptoms, medical history and appropriate care options. Medication is prescribed only where clinically appropriate and is not guaranteed.

Existing patient medication reviews
For existing patients who need a review of treatment response, side effects, monitoring or an ongoing care plan. Any prescription follows an individual clinical assessment and is not guaranteed.

Written advice and second opinions
A written clinical review for a focused menopause or treatment-plan question when you need specialist advice but do not require a live consultation.

Menstrual health consultations
Assessment and advice for heavy, irregular or painful periods, PMS or PMDD, and perimenopause-related bleeding concerns, with investigations arranged where clinically indicated.
Blood tests are not required before booking unless a clinician advises them. Lab diagnostics are arranged where clinically indicated as part of your care, rather than as a first step for every patient.
